I am personally glad the FDA approved cloned pork because I am pro genetic engineering and all that stuff. I myself will not eat he cloned pork for a few more years I am guessing, because I live in Canada...and Canada is alot pickier.
Now for those of you that opposed cloned porkt I ask why?...if you get 1 really nice pig and clone it you will have the same quality ultimately lowering the price of pork.
Also, I think many people don't know what the cloning process is like. Cloning something is not like putting it's DNA in a petrie dish and growing it to adulthood in a tank like in Star Wars. Modern cloning is much simpler instead of a pig egg being fertilized with a sperm from another pig it is simple injected with all of its own DNA. It's not all that unnatural when you think about it a piglet is still born but instead that piglet has all of it's mothers DNA instead of half from his mother and half from his father.
